What is the Platform?

The Platform remains the only one of its kind in the country and is, essentially, a partnership with the shared aim of improving health and wellbeing in the East Midlands.   The Platform is made up of private, public, voluntary and community organisations across the Midlands who can encourage and enable people to adopt behaviours which promote good health and wellbeing.


The Platform was established in 2009 by the Department of Health Regional Public Health Team. The Platform is chaired by the PHE Centre Director, Dr Meng Khaw and Vice Chair is Stuart Young of East Midlands Councils.
